Public Educational Programs
The St. Petersburg Astronomy Club and the Pinellas County Science Center host free astronomy programs at each monthly general meeting. These include lectures, demonstrations, and discussions, and are often combined with observing sessions.
SPAC also provides free programs to public and private schools, scouts, libraries, and universities. Special astronomy programs are often scheduled with civic, disabled, science, and nature organizations. For more information, call our Outreach Coordinator, Greg Simpson, at 727-896-9410, or email him at FZwicky@aol.com.
Meetings are normally held on the fourth Friday of each month (except November and December when it is on the third Friday) at the Science Center of Pinellas County, 7701 22nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL., at 8:00 P.M. Meetings are open to the public.
